For the record...

With my Mets in a very tough battle for the NL East and the Giants underway in trianing camp with the NFL season rapidly approaching, I still find myself thinking about the NBA maybe too much. But regardless, I have been giving a lot of thought on the various offseason moves etc. and I have decided who I like to win the title this year

The Houston Rockets

They are so fucking good with Artest. The more I think about the Yao-TMac-Artest trio coupled with their already insane team defense which will be bolstered even more by Artest I just think this team is now the best in the West. Artest is truly a special player who has been given little attention for his game due to the fact that he is utterly insane. But, now finally on a good team and with plenty of national games on the docket, this will prove to be the best offseason move by any team in the NBA. The lack of a good point guard does not bother me very much because TMac largely dominates the ball on offense anyway. Their bench is very deep and very, very good. Artest in the locker room is a big question mark surrounding this team, in my mind. He is fucking batshit crazy berserk and nothing will change that. But I do think that playing with a TMac and Yao and with a legit shot at a title, he will not act out and do as many crazy things as normal. I think they will see the Celts in the finals this year and smite them. Yes there is significant injury concern, but this obviously is barring that none of these three miss any significant portions of time. I'm on the bandwagon, and I love this team this year.

I disagree. You can't just make the disclaimer "If they have no injuries they will win it all." Maybe you can say that with other franchises just as a general caution but not with the rockets. Injuries is the name of the game with Yao and T-Mac and has plagued their careers and destroyed every legitimate playoff push this team has made. I'm not saying they dont have good ability, because i think their ridiculous streak was proof enough, but i just cant see this team staying healthy enough to make it that far. Also, artest is still unproven in the playoffs. The closest he got to a finals came when big shot bob put a nail in the coffin of his kings team. Even though i like artest, especially with addleman, I would need to see him in a big spot before predicting a championship. The third main, and not final, reason why I disagree is because of a man by the name of Andrew Bynum. I dont even think i need to continue here but we have no idea how much better the lakers will be with him. And he's one of the only guys that can somewhat defend yao. And when lloking at the lakers roster i believe they match up well against Houston: kobe-tmac, bynum-yao, odom-artest, pao-(insert scrub). I think the rockets will be a trnedy pick but im not willing to put them there. YET

right, so then after 2 months of the season eclipse and the rockets are the fucking own then you will be like o WTF gir how did you predict this so long ago and i will thusly look like a genius. the same genius that picked the c's to win it this year last off season. and i disclaimer whatever the fk i want so deal with it. artesticle is a monster, the lakers are pewpty pants - rockets team d is equal to c's and celts made an explosion on their faces this past finals. Rox would beat LA in a 7 game series. put it in the bank

You're a fucking fool. Rockets will be injured again this year and finally trade T-mac after more health fails

Is that Yao's o-face? It appears he's ass-raping that little bitch. How fitting.
